CARBINE. Cal. 300 SAVAGE. S# 128516. Bbl. 20" carbine style. Hooded bead front sight on stippled ramp w/ sporting rear sight. Bbl. has standard left side markings. Bottom of bbl. has "300S" cal. marking w/ "46" date marking. Type 3 action w/ square ended tapered tang. Bolt has 3rd style safety & is properly numbered on the bottom. Magazine box is the proper style #6. Follower, magazine spring, extractor, extractor ring, ejector & bolt stop are correct. Floorplate is stamped "SUPER GRADE". Straight comb Super Grade walnut stock. Features include a small oval cheekpiece, checkered steel buttplate, hard rubber grip cap, black forearm tip, Super Grade swivels & Super Grade checkering. S# indicates 1949 manufacture. CONDITION: over 95% original blue. Original stock finish shows light wear w/ scratches & marks. Bright near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman.
